An alcoholic extract of Manyprickle Acanthopanax (Acanthopanacis Senticosi) that is used in traditional Chinese medicine "to reinforce qi, to invigorate the function of the spleen and the kidney, and to calm the nerves when there is hypofunction of the spleen and the kidney marked by general weakness, lassitude, anorexia, aching of the loins and knees, or insomnia and dream-disturbed sleep."
