An edition of the Tsurezuregusa which uses iteration marks for げにげに and ところどころ. The latter has a dakuten.

Punctuation mark

  1. (dated) A kana iteration mark which indicates that the previous two to four kana characters should be reduplicated. Used only in vertical text. Can have a dakuten.

Usage notes

Do not confuse it with the hiragana (ku). The kana iteration mark is twice as long in vertical text.
