وَشِيقَة (wašīqa) f (plural وَشَائِق (wašāʾiq))

  1. jerked meat
    • 7th century CE, Sunan an-Nasāʾiyy, 42:92:
      فَأَكَلْنَا مِنْهُ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُ وَشِيقَةً
      faʾakalnā minhu wajaʿalnā minhu wašīqatan
      So we ate from it and jerked the other part.
