    • 7th century CE, 'The Quran':
      مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ
      maṯalu nūrihi kamiškātin fīhā miṣbāḥun
      The likeness of his light is like a niche with a lamp in it.
