له كل المجد

لَهُ كُلُّ ٱلْمَجْدِ‎ • (lahu kullu l-majdi)

1. (Christianity) all glory be to him; an expression of praise commonly used after mentioning Christ

   ‏اَلسَّيِّدُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ لَهُ كُلُّ ٱلْمَجْدِ أَمَرَنَا بِالسَّعْيِ وَراءَ ٱلْقَداسَةِ‎

   as-sayyidu l-masīḥu lahu kullu l-majdi ʾamaranā bi-s-saʿyi warāʾa l-qadāsati

   Christ, all glory be to him, has commanded us to strive for holiness.

• The Christian phrase is similar to—and to some degree possibly mirrors—certain Islamic expressions (compare “see also” below). It is not used with the same automaticity, however.

• تَبارَكَ وَتَعالَى‎ (tabāraka wataʿālā)
• صَلَّى ٱللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ‎ (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wasallama)
