التقويم الغربي
Arabic
Etymology
Literally “the Western calendar”, as opposed to التقويم الشرقي (at-taqwīm aš-šarqī, “the Eastern, i.e. Julian, calendar”), due to its being used by the western churches, particularly the Catholic Church, and despite the fact that both calendars are western, namely Roman, in origin.
