מַגֵּפָה • (magefá) f (plural indefinite מַגֵּפוֹת)
- A plague, an epidemic: an infectious disease, especially a deadly one, affecting many individuals in a population.
- Exodus 9:14:
- כִּי בַּפַּעַם הַזֹּאת אֲנִי שֹׁלֵחַ אֶת-כָּל-מַגֵּפֹתַי אֶל-לִבְּךָ וּבַעֲבָדֶיךָ וּבְעַמֶּךָ בַּעֲבוּר תֵּדַע כִּי אֵין כָּמֹנִי בְּכָל-הָאָרֶץ.
