Usage notes
The perfective converb in Armenian denotes a perfection, a finality of an action. Together with an auxiliary verb it forms the present perfect and pluperfect tenses of the indicative mood.
- Infinitive: գնալ (gnal) — to go
- Perfective converb: գնացել (gnac’el) — gone
- Present perfect: գնացել եմ (gnac’el em) — I have gone
- Present perfect: գնացել էի (gnac’el ēi) — I had gone
