уғры
Bashkir
Etymology
From Old Turkic oγrï "thief", apparently via a Karluk source (compare Uzbek o'g'ri (“thief”)), such as Literary Chagatai. This is indicated the retention of -ğ-.
Compare the native Kypchak development in Kazakh ұры (urı), Kyrgyz ууру (uuru) "thief".
