тыш
Bashkir
Etymology
From *tïš (“outside, exterior”), which appears to be an archetype parallel to *taš (“outside, exterior”), which derives from Proto-Turkic *daĺ (“outer side”).
There is no consensus to date as to how *tïš relates to *daĺ — is the former a development of the latter or an ancient parallel archetype.
Cognate with Kazakh тыс (tıs, “outside, exterior part; outdoors; outside, beyond”), Kumyk тыш (“exterior”), Karachay-Balkar тыш (“exterior part; cover, case”), Kyrgyz тыш (tış, “exterior; outdoors”), Southern Altai тыш (tïš, “exterior”), Turkish dış (“outside exterior part”),
