кәзә

Bashkir

Кәзә

Etymology

From *keči (goat). Compare Karakhanid [script needed] (keči, goat); Tatar кәҗә (qäcä, goat), Turkish keçi (goat), Turkmen geçi (goat).

However, the voiced -z- in Bashkir remains unexplained. Could also be borrowed from or influenced by Russian коза́ (kozá, goat).
