çun
Albanian
Etymology
Possibly from ç + earlier unattested *hun (cf. çerdhe, çakëll), a derivative of Proto-Indo-European *sewH- (“to bear, give birth”). Cognate to Ancient Greek υἱύς (huiús), Avestan 𐬵𐬏𐬥𐬎𐬱 (hūnuš, “son”), Old English sunu (“son”). Alternatively from a dialectal Italian cionno (“penis”), possibly through Venetian.
