speedloader (plural speedloaders)

  1. (firearms) A device for loading a firearm or magazine with loose ammunition very quickly.
  2. (computing) A turboload mechanism.

      Various speedloaders had different colours. You could also hear the data being loaded (1200baud iirc) and some programs had very interesting 'tunes' in them, and it was also possible to work out where you were in the load of your favourite games by the sound.
