reverse question

English

Noun

reverse question (plural reverse questions)

  1. A question in a television interview that was actually recorded after the interview took place, and is presented as a cutaway scene. The technique is commonly used where only one camera was present at the interview, as a way of creating the appearance of multiple camera angles and showing a scene of the interviewer asking the question, rather than the interviewee listening to the question.
