Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *raðā, from Proto-Indo-European *Hreh₁dʰ- (“to arrange”), hence Old Norse ráða, German raten (“to advise; guess”). Alternatively related to rreth wheel, close to Germanic *raðo row (cf. Old Norse rǫð (“row”), Middle Low German gerade (“growing straight upwards”)), also connected to *rathan wheel[1].
