From Middle Low German vrisch (young, fresh, happy), compare English fresh. See also värske, which is borrowed from an alternative form of the same Low German root.

  1. fat, plump, chubby (mostly in a good way)
    Mulle meeldivad prisked tüdrukud.
    I like chubby girls.

  2. (colloquial) big, nice, strong, effective
    Palgaks saime priske summa.
    We got a nice sum for our salary.
  3. (dated) healthy
