pirkums m (1st declension)

1. purchase (the act of buying, purchasing something)

   izdarīt pirkumus ― to make purchases

   izdevīgs, neizdevīgs pirkums ― good, bad deal (lit. advantageous, disadvantageous purchase)

   pirkuma un pārdevuma līgums ― sale contract (lit. purchase and sale agreement)

2. purchase (that which was bought, purchased)

   soma ar pirkumiem ― a bag with purchases

   nest smagus pirkumus ― to carry heavy purchased items

   samaksāt par pirkumiem ― to pay for the purchases

   viņa bija nopirkusi vērdiņu plāceni un piedāvāja Mikam pusi no pirkuma ― she had bought a Verdin cake and offered Miks half of the purchase
