From Proto-Albanian *tśeu-, from Proto-Indo-European *kyew- (“to put, set in motion; be on the move”). Cognate with Ancient Greek σεύω (seúō, “to actuate”) and Latin cieō (“to set in motion”). An intensive formation with the Albanian prefix ndër-.
