képlékeny
Hungarian
Etymology
[1871] From képel (“to form, shape”) + -ékeny (adjective-forming suffix denoting ability or tendency), from kép (“image”) + -el (“verb-forming suffix”). Created during the Hungarian language reform which took place in the 18th–19th centuries. The verb képel was modeled after German Bild (“image”) and bilden (“to form”), today it is used mainly in felképel (“to slap someone's face”).[1]
