hard redirect

English

Noun

hard redirect (plural hard redirects)

  1. (Internet) An automatic redirect.
I'd prefer to use a hard redirect so that people don't even notice we've reorganised the site.

Usage notes

This is generally only used when a comparison is being drawn with soft redirects, since redirect on its own carries the same meaning.
