The word félkövér can mean different weights of a font depending on context. In desktop publishing, it often refers to the semibold weight of a large type family that also has a bold weight (kövér). However, the localized Hungarian versions of all leading word processors use félkövér as a mistranslation of bold, that is, the only available boldface in such programs, or the computer-generated fake bold that they offer. Since word processors are nowadays ubiquitous, the incorrect meaning is much more prevalent than the literal translation.
