etuyo

Ido

Etymology

Borrowed from French étui, German Etui. However, compare -et- and -uyo, and consider that a reanalysis of étui is the likeliest origin of Esperanto -ujo, ancestor of -uyo.

Pronunciation

  • IPA(key): /eˈtu.jo/

Noun

etuyo (plural etuyi)

  1. case, box (opening sideways or from the top, to fit an object)
