Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *driϑ-, from Proto-Indo-European *ǵhr(i)sd(h) '(kind of) cereals; barley'. Cognate to Ancient Greek κριθή (krithḗ, “barley”) and Old High German gersta (“barley”). Probably an old Wanderwort[1].
