Etymology

Aorist form of jap. From Proto-Albanian *(e)δaś-, from Proto-Indo-European *deh₃- 'to give'. A suppletive verb, occurs only in the non-present paradigm. Dhae, dhe arose analogically after the form of the 2s dhae, dhe, from Proto-Albanian *h₁e-dh₃(e)s-s[1].
