Etymology

From Proto-Albanian *darja, from *ǵʰorjos, from Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰers ~ *ǵʰr̥s ‘rough, bristly’ (compare Latin horrere ‘to bristle, tremble’, Greek χοίρος (choíros) ‘pig’).[2][3] Perhaps the source of the name of the Illyrian tribe Deuri.
