Etymology

From Latin conforiō, from foriō, from foria (diarrhea), with the Aromanian suffix -escu or possibly through a late Vulgar Latin form *conforēscō, as with many fourth conjugation verbs. Compare Daco-Romanian cufuri, cufuresc.
