Etymology

From Late Latin conredum, from cum (with) + redum (preparation, arrangement), which is of Germanic origin; see also Dutch reden, Gothic 𐍂𐌴𐌳𐌰𐌽 (rēdan), 𐍂𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌾𐌰𐌽 (raidjan). Alternatively back-formation of corredare, compare arredare (to equip).[1]
