  1. (Judaism, Christianity) A biblical object described in Exodus 3:1-22, used by Yahweh to communicate with Moses.
  2. An ornamental shrub (Euonymus atropurpureus) that bears a red berry.
  3. A perennial herb (Dictamnus albus) which gives off so much essential oil that it can sometimes be lit and will burn briefly without harming the plant.
