bishtajë
Albanian
Etymology
bisht (“tail”) + -ajë[1]. Alternatively borrowed from Vulgar Latin *pistālia (compare Romanian păstaie), from Late Latin pistāre (“to pound”), from Latin pinsō (“stamp, pound, crush”), but this less likely.
Noun
bishtajë f (indefinite plural bishtaje, definite singular bishtaja, definite plural bishtajet)
