bishtajë

Albanian

Etymology

bisht (tail) + -ajë[1]. Alternatively borrowed from Vulgar Latin *pistālia (compare Romanian păstaie), from Late Latin pistāre (to pound), from Latin pinsō (stamp, pound, crush), but this less likely.

Noun

bishtajë f (indefinite plural bishtaje, definite singular bishtaja, definite plural bishtajet)

  1. pod
