Named after Barnabas Wood, American dentist and inventor.

Wood's metal (uncountable)

  1. A fusible alloy consisting of one or two parts of cadmium, two parts of tin, four of lead, and seven or eight of bismuth.
    Synonym: Lipowitz's alloy
