Proto-Indo-European

Etymology

Possible metathesis from *dʰewbʰ- ~ *dʰubʰ- (deep) + *-mḗn (see *-mn̥); if this is true, then *dʰewbʰ- has an Indo-Iranian cognate.[1]

Noun

*bʰudʰmḗn m (oblique stem *bʰudʰ(m̥)n-)
