Proper noun
Laniisoma ?
- A taxonomic genus within the family Tityridae – Laniisoma elegans, the shrike-like laniisoma, also known as the shrike-like cotinga or elegant mourner.
Usage notes
- The vernacular names are especially misleading or unhelpful, the bird not being very "shrike-like" and no longer being in genus Cotinga or family Cotingidae. The mourners are in several genera, not all in Tityridae
