Frühjahr is roughly synonymous to and widely interchangeable with Frühling. However, Frühjahr is more likely to be used to mean a period of the year (March, April, May), whereas Frühling is more likely to be used in reference to natural phenomena of that period (blossoming, temperature rise and so on).
