Etymology

From a Celtic composite noun *Kaityobrix, from the deuterotheme *brixs (“hill”) and a prototheme derived from Proto-Celtic *kaito- (“wood”).[1] Cognate with Portuguese Setúbal, attested as Καιτόβριξ (Kaitóbrix).[2]
