  • This two-handed ASL sign is produced as follows:
    1. Posture the nondominant hand in the “open 8” handshape about half an arm's length in front of the sternum, nondominant palm facing down. Posture the dominant hand in the “1” handshape within a couple of inches of the extended finger of the nondominant hand.
    2. Strike the index finger of the dominant hand against the bent middle finger of the nondominant hand while holding the nondominant hand still.
    3. Posture the nondominant hand in the “open 8” handshape about half an arm's length in front of the sternum, nondominant palm facing down. Posture the dominant hand in the “1” handshape within a couple of inches of the extended finger of the nondominant hand.
