Usage notes

  • May be additive, especially after an r-base (in the following, truncativity is implicit).
  • Becomes -atï after a.
  • May lose the affix-initial vowel and instead geminate an earlier consonant.
  • May take the forms -qut, -qqut and -qutat, but only in lexicalised words.
  • May take the forms -utaq after i and u, and -ataq after a.
  • May take the form -gut, especially after a, u and i.
  • May take the form -ssut, especially after a vowel.
