Suffix

-sdi

  1. Added to a word to form a noun to indicate playful, non-serious actions.
    háború (war)háborúsdi (playing soldiers)
    A gyerekek egyik kedvenc játéka a háborúsdi volt. - One of the favorites of the children was to play soldiers.

Usage notes

During the Hungarian language reform, the -sdi suffix was used to create several other types of words such as ósdi (adjective) and élősdi (noun).
