1. Ablative suffix appended to nouns in harmony with the nouns' lastest vowels a, ı, o or u.

   maşın → maşından

   [the] car → from [the] car

   Peru → Perudan

   Peru → from Peru

This suffix is to be preceded by an additional n when the noun it is appended to already ends with another suffix's vowel.

dostumun maşını → dostumun maşınından

my friend's car → from my friend's car

-dan

1. Used to form ablative of nouns.

   ‎okul (“school”) + ‎-dan → ‎okuldan (“from school”)

• It's used when the noun's last vowel is a back vowel.
• It could be -den, when the noun's last vowel is a front vowel.

  ‎köy + ‎-dan → ‎köyden

• It could be -tan, when the noun's last consonant is "f", "s", "t", "k", "ç", "ş", "h" or "p".

  ‎mutfak + ‎-dan → ‎mutfaktan

• It must be used with an apostrophe while forming a proper noun.

  ‎İstanbul + ‎-dan → ‎İstanbul'dan
