Sonic Adventure (DX: Director's Cut) is a 1998/2003 video game for the Sega Dreamcast and the Nintendo GameCube. An HD version of the game came out for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in 2010.

  • I'll probably be on this floating island forever, guarding the Master Emerald again. I may not know the whole story behind this, but perhaps it's better that way. I'm at peace once more.
  • He stole my Chaos Emeralds... and Chaos... is still alive...
  • (After Chaos disappears without warning) What's happening to you? Get back here!
  • (After Dr. Eggman has summoned Chaos) Chaos? It's that creature again! The same one I saw on my Island. He was there when the Master Emerald shattered. I'm sure of it. He saved me the trouble of looking for him. Now I'll get him good.
  • Give it your best shot! (Said during battle with Sonic/Tails)
  • I wonder why Sonic is after the Master Emerald... I'd better work fast and get to the bottom of this.

  • How can I make you understand? Attacking other countries, stealing, and killing... can't be the right path to peace. No one has the right to take their holy grounds. I beg you, Father!
  • These are the Chao you were protecting. [to Chaos with the Chao] They stayed alive for generations and now live peacefully with humans. The fighting's over. Harmony is restored and life goes on. [turns to Sonic] Thank you so much!

  • [After Tails asks what she was saying before she noticed him] Huh. It's something my grandmother taught me. I'm never to forget it, it goes like this - "the servers are the 7 Chaos... Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart... the Controler is the one that unifies the Chaos". But I'm not sure what it all means, but the #7 is the same as the number of emeralds there are.
  • [To Gamma after she mistakes him for one of her father's troops] NO! Don't go any closer!
  • [To Knuckles after he asked what happened] I couldn't... stop them. They came... and my father... I had no idea... how bad this would turn out...! I'm shocked...!

Sonic the Hedgehog: [sarcastically] Hey, look! It's a giant talking egg!
Dr. Robotnik: Silence! I am Doctor Robotnik, the greatest scientific genius in the world!
Sonic: Whatever you say, Eggman.
Robotnik: Enough! I've got big plans, and now I'm going to put them to work!
Miles "Tails" Prower: You're always up to no good. Now, what do you want?
Doctor Eggman: I want all of the Chaos Emeralds. Better not interfere, or else...!
Sonic: Or else what, ya big loser?!
Dr. Eggman: Or else I'll take them from you by force; the hard way!
Amy: Sonic, wait up! (Amy approaches Sonic) Long time, no see!
Sonic: Uh, A...Amy...
Amy: What's wrong with you, anyway? (shows Birdy to Sonic) Listen, this birdy seems to be in trouble, so you need to be his bodyguard for a while.
Sonic: You must be kidding!
Amy: If you don't, we're just gonna tag along anyway.
(The Egg Carrier has changed shape)
Tails: Ahh, wow! It changed shape! Did you see that?!

Knuckles: He stole my Chaos Emeralds... and Chaos... is still alive!
Sonic: What?
Eggman: Arrgh! He's not gonna get away with this!
Knuckles: Hey, Eggman! Wait up!
(Eggman got away)
Knuckles: Sonic. Chaos is a fearsome beast. If he gets that last Chaos Emerald, we're done for.
Sonic: No need to explain. We'll get on it. Tails?
Tails: Right!
Pachacamac: You little brat! Get out of my way!
Tikal: No way!
Pachacamac: Did you hear what I said?
Tikal: I won't obey!
Pachacamac: You WILL obey! We need those 7 Emeralds to give us total power. It's power for the people! And... they are your people too, you know! We must get that Emerald!
Tikal: Greed is our enemy. Once it starts, you will always want more. Please don't do this. I beg you!
Pachacamac: BAH! I don't listen to the words of a child. So, do NOT warned us! If you warned us, the Emerald is going to be totally destroyed! Ready, men? CHAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!!!!
Tikal: FATHER!!!
(Pachacamac's clan ran right over Tikal and the Chao as he follows them. Suddenly, Chaos summoned the Emeralds and appeared from the Master Emerald)
Pachacamac: AAAAAAAGH! It's a monster!
(Chaos roared and summoned a big spark of energy from the Master Emerald at Pachacamac and his clan)
Pachacamac: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Sonic: I've had enough. Who do you think you are anyway?
(the glowing light appears)
Sonic: Oh, it's you. The one... who sealed Chaos... in the Master Emerald... Tikal.
(the light transform into Tikal)
Tikal: My heart has always been in the Master Emerald along with Chaos'. Now he's filled with anger and sadness. And if it goes on... he'll eventually destroy the world like he did before.
(Chaos threw out the Emeralds)
Tikal: Look! He's absorbed the Emeralds' power! He must be sealed in the Master Emerald, now!
Sonic: How can that help? It won't change how he feels inside, will it? His heart will still remain in turmoil... and his anger just won't vanish. He'll just be trapped forever!
Tikal: What choice do we have?
(Big, Tails, and Knuckles found one of the used up Emeralds)
Amy: Hey, Sonic!
Sonic: Amy!
Amy: Here, take this!
(Tails and Knuckles show up)
Sonic: Hey, guys! What's up?
Tails: Chaos only used the negative power of the Emeralds. Sonic, you should be able to harness their real power.
Knuckles: As much as I hate to admit it... I think Tails is right about this.
Citizen #1: Go, Sonic!
Citizen #2: Yeah! Sonic!
Citizen #3: Sonic! (sounding slightly unenthused)
Citizen #4: Sonic!
Other citizens: [chanting] Sonic, Sonic, Sonic, Sonic...!
Tails: Negative forces aren't the only way to empower the Chaos Emeralds. Our positive feelings towards each other can make them work. Our hearts together form awesome power.


Tails


(Sonic and Tails are about to land on the Egg Carrier in their plane)
Tails: Coming in tight!
Sonic: Tails! We gotta land on the Egg Carrier!
Tails: Oops. We got a problem here.
Sonic: What now?
Tails: I forgot to put in the landing gear!
Sonic: Whaaaaa...?!
(Citizens Panic)
Citizen #1: OH, NO! IT'S ROBOTNIK!!
Eggman: (To Tails) So you beat me to the missile, you little pest. I will make you all pay for this. (flies up and drops down in the Egg Walker)
Citizen #2: LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!! (Screams)
Roobtnik/Eggman: (To Tails) You fool. Away, before I make mincemeat out of you.
Tails: I'm not scared, I'm not scared! I can do this!

Tikal: Father, please don't!
Pachacamac: Tikal, the 7 Emeralds are essential to our survival. It is the good of all our people.
