    • Note: After being supplied with a large amount of the substance Extremis by fellow A.I.M. agent Eric Savin, Taggert explodes after consuming the substance.
  • Is that all you got? A cheap trick and a cheesy one-liner? (Tony Stark: "Sweetheart, that could be the name of my autobiography.")
    • Who: Ellen Brandt
    • Source: Iron Man 3
    • Note: After Tony lures her near a microwave with metal dog tags, it explodes, causing Brandt to be killed and flown into nearby cables.
  • What happens to you? What happens if you go too hot?
  • It's all yours now.

    • Source: Iron Man 3
    • Note: After threatening to destroy the perfected Extremis formula, Killian shoots Maya in the heart without a second thought when he refuses to spare Tony's life. In the extended version, Maya survives long enough to give Tony the instructions to destroy Extremis.
  • Speaking of which, go fish.

    • Note: As he is about to escape Air Force One, Savin gets in a fight with Stark's remote-controlled armor and is killed when Stark fires a repulsor blast through Savin's chest at point-blank range.
  • No more false faces. You said you wanted the Mandarin? Well, you're looking right at him. It was always me, Tony, right from the start. I AM THE MANDARIN!!!

    • Note: Just before he is able to attack Stark, Pepper Potts attacks him from behind, having survived her fall with the help of her new-found Extremis abilities. Just before Killian is able to retaliate, Potts rips a repulsor arm from the Mark VIII suit, attaching it to herself and utilizing its capabilities to finally kill Killian for good.

    • Note: Answering Malekith's question on where the Aether is, right before being killed by Kurse for not cooperating with Malekith.

    • Note: Spoken in the Dark Elf Language. Killed by one of his black hole grenades on his belt after stabbing Loki.

    • Note: Says these words before Thor summons Mjolnir and deals the final blow to Malekith, while Erik Selvig use his scientific equipment to transport Malekith to Svartalfheim, where he is crushed to death by his own damaged ship.

    • Note: Peter Quill's mother, dying of brain cancer, says these to Peter before she succumbs to the cancer, given to her by Quill's father, Ego, and dies.

    • Note: Said before being mercilessly executed by Ronan, who crushed him with his Universal Hammer.

    • Note: As Ronan started laying his grievances against Thanos, the Other says these words before Ronan used his Cosmi-Rod to snap the Other's neck, killing him instantly. According to an earlier draft of the script, the Other's complete quote was "I may be your worst enemy."

    • Note: When the Guardians deliver the Power Stone to the Collector, Carina seizes the opportunity to free herself of slavery and tries to steal the Infinity Stone. However, she is not strong enough to handle it; her body explodes with energy.

    • Note: Said to Rocket Raccoon while trying to hold down against Ronan's ship, the Dark Aster, before Ronan uses the Power of the Orb in the Universal Warhammer to destroy the Nova Corps Ships, killing Saal in the process.

    • Note: Said to Rocket Raccoon while seemingly sacrificing himself to save the rest of the team by enveloping them in a wooden ball grown from himself as Ronan's ship crashes. At the film's conclusion, Rocket has recovered a twig from Groot, which is shown to be re-growing into Baby Groot; however, it has been confirmed by the director that this is a new Groot, and the original Groot is indeed dead.
  • You're a mortal! How?! (Star-Lord: "You said it yourself, bitch! We're the Guardians of the Galaxy!")

    • Note: After Rocket and Drax destroy his warhammer, releasing the Infinity Stone from it, Quill quickly catches the Stone, and, with Gamora, Drax, and Rocket helping with the burden of the Stone's power, a stunned Ronan says these words before Quill directed its energy at Ronan, killing him.

    • Note: Said after Pietro and Wanda escaped their cell and before being killed by Iron Man.

    • Note: In the final battle against Ultron aboard a chunk of Sokovia, Ultron controls a Quinjet to shoot down Hawkeye as he attempts to save a young boy left in the rubble of a wrecked building. However, Quicksilver runs in front to protect them both, taking the brunt of the bullets before saying this to Hawkeye as he dies.

    • Note: After all of his sentries are destroyed by the Avengers, Ultron, in his last remaining body, says this to Vision, who vaporizes him.

    • Note: Attempting to kill Cassie Lang, along with Officer Paxton, in revenge for her father's interference with his plans, until Scott stops him by shrinking into the Yellowjacket suit and messing with its functions, resulting in Cross' death when the suit shrinks uncontrollably out of existence.

Phase Three

  • And you're coming with me.

    • Note: Telling Captain America of a conversation he supposedly had with Bucky, before blowing himself up in an attempt to kill Cap; Scarlet Witch uses her powers to send him away from the heroes, but accidentally ends up sending him into a nearby crowded building.

    • Note: Before Zemo drowns him for not disclosing information of the Siberian Winter Soldier base.
  • When stolen Wakandan vibranium was used to make a terrible weapon, we in Wakanda were forced to question our legacy. Those men and women killed in Nigeria were part of a goodwill mission from a country too long in the shadows. We will not, however, let misfortune drive us back. We will fight to improve the world we wish to join. I am grateful to the Avengers for supporting this initiative. Wakanda is proud to extend its hand in peace.

Of note, the Sovereign operator who receives his call starts laughing uproariously upon hearing his name, which Taserface witnesses as he dies.
  • Listen to me! You are a God! If you kill me, you'll be just like everybody else! (Star-Lord: "What's so wrong with that?") No!

    • Note: Saying these words to his son, Peter Quill, who had turned against him for being responsible for his mother's death. Quill used his Celestial powers to fight Ego while the rest of the Guardians killed him by planting a bomb on his brain, in the center of the planet.

    • Note: He and Herman Schultz were selling Chitauri technology to gangster Aaron Davis when Spider-Man disrupts the transaction. After Iron Man saves Spider-Man from Vulture, Brice is accidentally killed by Toomes for jeopardizing the mission when the latter mistakes a laser gun with an anti-gravity gun.

  • Asgard... is not a place...
    • Who: Odin

    • Note: After Loki banishes Odin on Earth, he becomes close to death. When he dies, his oldest child, Hela, will be freed from prison. After telling his two sons this, he dissolves into glowering showers of energy. In the original scene, set in a New York alleyway, Odin is slain by Hela herself after he looses to energy to contain her in Hel.

    • Note: When Hela begins to attack Asgard after entering the Bifrost, Volstagg stands in her way, with Fandral, and is stabbed twice before dying.

    • Note: While attempting to fight off Hela, he says these words before being run through with a spear.

    • Who: Skurge the Executioner

    • Note: After working as Hela's executioner, Skurge realized the error of his ways, and redeemed himself by fighting off Hela's minions. However, Hela impales him as he storms up the Bifrost.
  • Whatever game you're playing, it won't work. You can't defeat me. (Thor: "No, I know. But he can.") No!

    • Note: Hela says this upon seeing Surtur being unleashed, and Thor and Valkyrie send her through a chasm in the Bifrost; During Surtur's destruction of Asgard, he is met with Hela's resistance before he crushes her with his sword.

    • Note: Linda, Killmonger's girlfriend, gets captured by Klaue for leverage. Killmonger kills her to get to Klaue, but he escapes.

You can scar yourself as much as you like. To them, you'll just be an outsider. You're crazy to think that you can walk in there.     • Note: Klaue teams up with Killmonger. After Klaue refuses to go to Wakanda, Killmonger kills him and takes his body as a token to Wakanda.
  • I observed for as long as I could. Their leaders have been assassinated. Communities flooded with drugs and weapons. They are overly policed and incarcerated. All over the planet our people suffer because they don't have the tools to fight back. With Vibranium weapons they can overthrow every country and Wakanda can rule them all the right way.

    • Note: When T'Chaka confronts N'Jobu for trying to provide Wakandan weapons to oppressed black people in America, T'Chaka had him arrested. N'Jobu tries to kill Zuri but he gets stabbed by T'Chaka with his panther claws.

    • Source: Black Panther
    • Note: When Killmonger battles T'Challa for the throne, Zuri makes a desperate attempt to save his life, offering his life for T'Challa's. Killmonger kills him, then proceeds to defeat T'Challa.
  • Wakanda forever.
    • Who: Aneka
    • Source: Black Panther
    • Note: When Aneka and three other Dora Milage fight Killmonger, she is grabbed by Killmonger, who threatens to slit her throat. Refusing to give in, Aneka allows him to kill her so Okoye can take him down.
  • (Black Panther: "Maybe we can still heal you.") Why, so you can just lock me up? Nah. Just bury me in the ocean.... with my ancestors that jumped from the ships, 'cause they knew death.... was better than bondage....
    • Who: Erik "Killmonger" Stevens

    • Note: After being impaled in a fight with T'Challa, Killmonger is helped to a cliff-side where he watches the sunset. T'Challa tries to convince him to stay alive, but Killmonger declines, pulling out the dagger that skewered him and bleeding out.
  • Allfathers, let the dark magic... flow through me one last... time...
    • Who: Heimdall
    • Source: Avengers: Infinity War
    • Note: Heimdall summoned the Bifrost with his last shred of Dark Magic to send Hulk to Earth. Shortly after, Heimdall was impaled by Thanos with Corvus Glaive's weapon.

    • Source: Avengers: Infinity War
    • Note: After failing a desperate trick to destroy Thanos by stabbing him, Loki is strangled to death by Thanos.
  • Painful, aren't they? They were originally designed for microsurgery, and any one of them... could end your friend's life in an instant. (Iron Man: "I gotta tell you, he's not really my friend. Saving his life is a professional courtesy.") You've saved nothing. Your powers are inconsequential compared to mine. (Iron Man: "Yeah, but the kid's seen more movies.")

    • Note: While torturing Doctor Strange, Iron Man and Spider Man use the plan from Aliens that killed the Xenomorph by blasting a hole through the wall of the spaceship, sending Maw flying through space to die.
  • Really? Tears? (Red Skull: "They are not for him.") No! This isn't love! (Thanos: "I ignored my destiny once. I cannot do that again. Even for you. I'm sorry, little one.") No!

    • Note: For Thanos to get the Soul Stone, he must sacrifice someone he loves. He throws Gamora down the abyss to get the Stone.

    • Note: In Avengers: Endgame, Shuri is confirmed to be among the victims of the Snap. Later in the film, Professor Hulk is able to bring Shuri back with the Nano Gauntlet.

    • Note: Falcon witnesses Vision fighting off Corvus Glaive. He later crumbles to ash when Thanos snaps his fingers, and is missed by War Machine. During Avengers: Endgame, Professor Hulk is able to bring Falcon back with the Nano Gauntlet.
  • He will die alone, as will you. (Black Widow: "She's not alone.")
    • Who: Proxima Midnight
    • Source: Avengers: Infinity War
    • Note: Midnight pins down Scarlet Witch, about to kill her, but is dueled by Black Widow and Okoye. She is launched into the air by Wanda's telekinetic powers and sliced in half by one of the Threshers.
  • I thought you were formidable, machine. But you're dying, like any man.
    • Who: Corvus Glaive
    • Source: Avengers: Infinity War
    • Note: While dueling Captain America, and overpowering him, Corvus Glaive is stabbed through the chest by Vision with his own glaive.

    • Note: Spoken to Scarlet Witch, after he begs her to the destroy the Mind Stone that powers him to prevent Thanos from claiming it and thus completing the Infinity Gauntlet. She tearfully agrees, but Thanos uses the Time Stone to revive Vision and then kill him again to obtain the stone.
  • (Thanos: "I understand, my child. Better than anyone.") You could never. (Thanos: "Today, I lost more than you can know. But now is no time to mourn. Now... is no time at all.") No!

    • Note: When Thanos uses the Time Stone to revive Vision and grab the Mind Stone from his head, Scarlet Witch tries to stop him, but is tossed aside.
