Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky (Konstanty Ciołkowski, Константин Эдуардович Циолковский; September 17 (old style: September 5) 1857 - September 19 1935) russian and Soviet self-taught scientist, researcher, school teacher. The founder of modern astronautics.
