Lee
- A good fight should be like a small play, but played seriously. A good martial artist does not become tense, but ready. Not thinking, yet not dreaming. Ready for whatever may come. When the opponent expands, I contract. When he contracts, I expand. And when there is an opportunity, I do not hit. It hits all by itself. (to his teacher)
- What was that? An exhibition? We need emotional content. Now try again! (to his student Lahn)
- I said emotional content. Not anger! Now try again! With me! (to his student Lahn)
- Don't think, feel! It is like a finger pointing away to the moon. Don't concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory. Do you understand? (to his student Lahn).
- Never take your eyes off your opponent, even when you bow. (to his student Lahn).
- My style? You can call it "the art of fighting without fighting". (to Parsons)
- You have offended my family, and you have offended the Shaolin Temple. (to Han before starting the fight)
- Boards... don't hit back. (to O'Hara before starting the fight)
Roper
- I admire your judgement. Nobody's more loyal than daddy's little girl. (to Han after being attacked by Han's female guards)
Williams
- I don't waste my time with it, when it comes, I won't even notice; I'll be too busy looking good. (to Han)
- I was outside, but I wasn't the only one. (to Han)
- Mr. Han, suddenly, I'd like to leave your island. (to Han)
- Bullshit, mister Han-Man! (to Han)
- Been practicing huh? (to Han)
- Man, you've come right out of a comic book! (to Han)
Han
- We are unique in that we create ourselves. Gentlemen, you have our gratitude! (speech at the party previous to tournament)
- Very few people can be totally ruthless. It isn't easy. It takes more strength than you might believe! (to Roper)
- There is a point that you will not go beyond. (to Roper)
- You fought well yesterday, your skill is unorthodox. (to Williams)
- It isn't the art but combat that you enjoy? (to Williams)
- We are all ready to win, as we are born knowing only life, it is defeat you must prepare for.(to Williams)

- You will tell me who else! (to Williams)
