Olympische Spelen

Hironaga vertegenwoordigde zijn vaderland op de Olympische Spelen 1996 in Atlanta. Ondanks een overwinning op Brazilië (1-0) werd de Japanse olympische selectie onder leiding van bondscoach Akira Nishino al in de groepsronde uitgeschakeld.
