Geschiedenis

Eind jaren 1980 had de band in het Verenigd Koninkrijk al bekendheid en een positief geluid ontvangen van de critici. De grote doorbraak kwam echter in 1991, toen The Wonder Stuff samen met de komiek Vic Reeves de song Dizzy van Tommy Roe opnieuw opnamen en daarmee twee weken de toppositie in de Britse singlecharts bezetten. Verdere top 10-hits waren The Size of a Cow, Welcome to the Cheap Seats en On the Ropes.

The Wonder Stuff is na een onderbreking tussen 1994 en 2000 heden nog actief, zij het met minder commercieel succes als voor de onderbreking.
