Soulburn

Na jarenlang actief te zijn geweest met Asphyx, richtte Eric Daniels in 1996 Soulburn op. Bob Bagchus kwam erbij op drums. Het debuutalbum Feeding on Angels verscheen in 1998 bij Century Media Records, met Wannes Gubbels (Pentacle) als zanger en basgitarist.

Zestien jaar later werd Soulburn nieuw leven ingeblazen met Eric Daniels (gitaren) en Bob Bagchus (drums) als het hart van de band. Twan van Geel (Legion of the Damned) nam de plaats in van Wannes als zanger-bassist. Remco Kreft (Nailgun Massacre) werd als tweede gitarist aangetrokken en de band was weer compleet.

Bob Bagchus decided to call it quits and departs with Soulburn

As it came a bit as a surprise, we totally respect his decision and wish him all the luck with his other musical and hellish endeavours. We thank Bob for all the effort he put into this band from the start on, and also simply for being this amazing legendary guy he is. Onwards!

Bob: A little musical update from my side:I recently decided to leave Soulburn. There is no "big" story behind it or any of that blablabla, I just thought it was time to quit since I did not feel connected with it anymore.I wish the guys all the best in the near future and welcome their new drummer Marc Verhaar. Thanx Eric, Remco and Twan for the great times and praise the Goat!

Bob’s follow up Marc Verhaar (Graceless, Nailgun Massacre, ex-Xenomorph) is not new to the Soulburn camp as he was often present helping out at our shows. He’s a great guy and above all, a more then great drummer and we’re very much looking forward continuing our blasphemous noise together. A new era has arrived…

With the upcoming 7” single entitled Carpe Noctem on it’s’way, Soulburn is bound to spread it’s darkening deadly metal further through the astral borders once again. As the darkness of Soulburn is ever seeking, let us indulge in sins to come. Today is dead, CARPE NOCTEM

Working on the new album which is in progress, coming up next year 2020 again by Century Media Records, will tell, the darkness continues. New solid dark songs will see the daylight !!
