Pothos (mythologie)

Pothos (Oudgrieks Πόθος / Póthos - "verlangen") was de broer van Eros.

In de overlevering bij Apuleius trok Eros zich nadat hij uiteindelijk gelukkig getrouwd was met Psyche terug van de aarde. Hij liet zijn broer Pothos de heerschappij over de mensenharten na.
