Biografie
Emmanuel werd geboren uit een moeder met Dominicaanse roots en een vader die half St.-Luciaans en Brits is. Ze heeft een zus, Louise, die in 2002 finaliste was van de talentenjacht Stars in Their Eyes Kids. Emmanuel doorliep school in Westcliff-on-Sea.
In 2007 reikte Emmanuel de prijs voor "Beste R&B act" uit op de MOBO Awards naast Martin Offiah. Ze reikte ook een prijs uit op de Urban Music Awards in 2008. Haar eerste rol op televisie was in een reclamefilmpje voor Vodafone. Ze speelde ook Nala in de West End theatervoorstelling van The Lion King. Later had ze een gastrol in de televisieserie Misfits.
In januari 2012 presenteerde Emmanuel Websex: What's the Harm?, een programma dat de online seksuele gewoonten van 16 tot 24-jarigen onderzocht op BBC 3.
