Loopbaan

Helgenberger is vooral bekend van CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, waarin ze de rol van Catherine Willows speelde. Al jaren daarvoor speelde ze in de televisieserie China Beach de rol van KC Koloski, waar ze ook een Emmy voor won.

Op 23 januari 2012 kreeg Marg Helgenberger een ster op de Hollywood Walk of Fame, op enkele meters afstand van de ster van haar CSI-collega William Petersen.
