Lincolnshire grenst aan Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire en voor slechts 19 meter en daarmee Engelands kortste graafschapgrens aan Northamptonshire.

De graafschaphoofdstad is het oude stadje Lincoln.

Demografie
