Journey to an imaginary land[1] is het debuutalbum van de Oostenrijker Gandalf. Hij nam het album als multi-instrumentalist zelf op in zijn eigen Beginning Soundstudio. De muziek van het conceptalbum is instrumentale progressieve rock ingebed in new age of andersom. De titels van de nummers vermeldden bijna allemaal dat er andere muziekstukken in verwerkt zijn. Deze waren voor zover bekend niet eerder in Nederland te horen geweest.
